My clinical work is deepened by my engagement in psychoanalytic writing and research. I am a Fellow of the College of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis, a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association, and a member of the Contemporary Freudian Society from which I earned certification in the practice of adult psychoanalysis. I am also the Director of the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society. I hold a New York State license in psychoanalysis (#000856).
I am also a sociologist with a doctorate in the field from Brandeis University (2000) and a specialization in ethnography and social psychology. I earned my BA in sociology and literature at Marlboro College (1991). I continue to teach and write in the field and am a member of the American Sociological Association.
