ABOUT ME

I trained and was certified in psychoanalysis at the Contemporary Freudian Society of New York where I am currently the Vice President and, from 2019-2023, was Director of the Psychoanalytic Training Institute. My New York State license in psychoanalysis is #000856.

My clinical work is deepened by my engagement in psychoanalytic writing and research. I am a Fellow of the College of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association.

I am also a sociologist with a doctorate in the field from Brandeis University (2000) and a specialization in ethnography and qualitative social psychology. I earned my BA in sociology and literature at Marlboro College (1991). I continue to teach and write in the field and am a member of the American Sociological Association.
